2023 BMW 3 Series G20 Fuse Box Diagram

For the facelifted 2023 cars (LCI, built from July 2022) the passenger-side fuse box has not moved: front passenger's footwell, right side, behind the trim under the glove box, opened by turning the cover's fasteners. BMW issued a new card with the facelift (part 8734162-04); on this box it differs from the previous card only in refitting a 5 A fuse at position 35.

Everything is counted from the top. Wide fuses 20 to 29 down the left with the small fuse 30 at their foot; small fuses 31 to 38 in the column beside them from the level of 23; big fuses 39, 40 and 41 on the right over the relay. Under the relay: 67 to 76 along the left edge, 59 to 61 above 62 to 66 in the second column, the wide fuses 46 to 52 in the right column and 53 to 57 between, aligned with 72 to 76. Only 41 stays empty on the facelift card.

Nothing changed here with the facelift: the 2023 cards (July 2022 edition) rate the BDC fuses F1 to F6 as before at 5, 7.5, 7.5, 5, 20 and 20 A. The body domain controller is behind the right A-pillar trim beside the front passenger's footwell, above the passenger fuse box; on a right-hand-drive car the module is still on the right of the car.

The fuse sockets are a single column in the centre of the module, numbered downwards from F1 to F6, between the connector blocks CON4 (left) and CON3 (right).

On the facelift (2023 model year, from July 2022) the box on the driver's side is unchanged in layout and assignment: the July 2022 card prints the same five fuses, 102, 107, 113, 117 and 118. It sits under the dashboard on the left, behind the driver's footwell trim, with the relays R1 and R2 in the bottom of the housing, and BMW treats it as a workshop box.

The numbers run bottom to top and right to left: 101 to 104 up the right-hand column with 105 to 107 above them, 108 to 111 up the next column with 112 and 113 on top, 114 to 117 with 118 and 119, 120 to 123 with 124 and 125, and 126 to 129 with 130 and 131 at the left edge. R2 is the left relay, R1 the right.

On the facelifted cars (2023 model year, from July 2022) the rear power distribution box is unchanged: right side of the luggage compartment, behind the side trim cover above the wheel arch. The facelift card (8734162-04) rates its fuses exactly as the November 2020 card; a later edition seen on 2024 cars adds a 30 A fuse at 224, which this page does not draw. 240 and 281 to 296 are fitted on the high-version box only.

With the big module at the top left, the positions read from left to right in the rows and downwards in the columns: 200 to 205 and 206 to 211, 212 to 216 next to 217 to 220, the bottom row 221 to 230; the top row 231 to 240, the small rows 242 to 246, 247 to 252, 253 to 258, 259 to 264, the bottom row 265 to 274; the columns 276 to 280, 281 to 286 and 287 to 296 at the right. 207, 238 and 279 are spare-fuse slots.
