2013 BMW 3 Series F30 Fuse Box Diagram

Under the bonnet on the right-hand side (viewed in the direction of travel; on the left on right-hand-drive cars), next to the bulkhead beneath a plastic cover held by three quarter-turn screws and four clips. The 2013 model year is the second year of the F30 saloon and the first for the F31 Touring (on sale from September 2012) and the F34 Gran Turismo (from June 2013); all three share this front power distribution box and the same fuse allocation card, part 9 228 158-02, which BMW stores in the luggage compartment beside the rear fuse box rather than under this cover.

Reading the card's plate: 18-35 stand in a row along the top edge, 42-56 along the bottom, 57-63 lie flat down the left edge and 64-70 down the right, while 36-41 sit between the two relay housings in the centre. Positions 30, 35, 38, 39, 49, 51 and 59-61 carry no fuse on this card.

Under the luggage-compartment floor panel, towards the right-hand side of the boot; the fuse allocation card (9 228 158-02 on 2013 cars) is folded into a pocket on top of the box next to a plastic fuse puller. On the Touring (F31) the same panel lifts out of the load floor.

The plate is read in rows and columns: 100-104 and 105-111 across the top, 112-117 to the right of the first relay, 118-120 and 121-123 lower down on the left of centre, 124-135 and 136-142 along the bottom edge; 143-148 and 149-153 form the outer left column, 154-159 the second column and 160-166 the right-hand column, all counted from the top. The three square housings are relays. Empty on this card: 101, 102, 105, 108-112, 115, 118, 119, 129, 131, 133, 134, 136, 138, 156-158 and 166.

Right-hand side of the luggage compartment, behind the side trim panel and above the battery: the rear electronic module (REM) carries five fuses of its own beside its relays. On the 2013 cars the card lists them with the module's slot numbers 1-5, printed next to the fuse numbers.

The five mini fuses form a column at the right-hand end of the module, and the housing numbers the slots from the bottom: slot 1 holds fuse 82, slot 2 fuse 85, slot 3 fuse 83, slot 4 fuse 84 and slot 5 fuse 80. There is no fuse 81. The large housings are relays.
