2017 BMW 3 Series F30 Fuse Box Diagram

Passenger-side rear corner of the engine compartment on a left-hand-drive car, driver's side on a right-hand-drive car: the card's own locator sketch shows both. Take off the cowl cover (three quarter-turn fasteners) and unclip the lid of the distribution box. The 2017 model year brought no change to the electrical architecture of the facelifted F30, and the box keeps the assignment printed on allocation card 9 228 158-02; check the sheet in your own boot, since BMW prints one per car and options such as the auxiliary heater (70) or head-up display (31) only appear when fitted.

Numbering on the plate: 18-35 across the top, 36-41 in the middle between the relay housings, 42-56 across the bottom, 57-63 down the left-hand column and 64-70 down the right-hand column, each row running left to right and each column top to bottom. Sockets 30, 35, 38, 39, 49, 51, 59, 60 and 61 are blank.

Right-hand half of the luggage-compartment floor, under the carpeted panel; the box lies flat with the allocation card folded into its cover pocket, which is where BMW expects you to check your own car's assignment. For 2017 the documented card is still edition 9 228 158-02, and the rear wiper fuse it lists (82, on the electronic module behind the right trim) applies to the Touring and Gran Turismo only.

Layout as printed: 100-104 and 105-111 in the top row, 112-117 mid-right, 118-120 and 121-123 lower left, 124-135 and 136-142 in the bottom row (each row left to right); 143-148, 149-153, 154-159 and 160-166 as columns read downwards. Three square relay housings sit among them. Sockets without a fuse on this edition: 101, 102, 105, 108-112, 115, 118, 119, 129, 131, 133, 134, 136, 138, 156-158 and 166.

Boot, right-hand side: pull the side trim away and the rear electronic module is above the battery, with its five fuses at the right-hand edge. Cards for the 2017 model year still print these fuses with the slot numbers of edition 9 228 158-02; the rear-window heating fuse (80) is fitted on every car, the sun-blind fuse (85) only with that option.

Slot order from the bottom of the column: 1 = fuse 82, 2 = fuse 85, 3 = fuse 83, 4 = fuse 84, 5 = fuse 80. Read from the top the sequence is 80, 84, 83, 85, 82. The wide housings alongside are relays.
