2014 BMW 3 Series F30 Fuse Box Diagram

The front fuse box sits at the back of the engine compartment on the passenger side of a left-hand-drive car (the driver's side on a right-hand-drive one), inside a lidded housing against the bulkhead; loosen the three screws of the cowl cover, lift it away and press the four catches of the lid. Nothing on the card changed for the 2014 model year: cars built from autumn 2013 carry the same 9 228 158-02 allocation sheet as the 2013 cars, and the F80 M3 launched in 2014 has a card of its own that this page does not cover.

The plate on the card draws three groups of six positions along the top (18-23, 24-29, 30-35) and three groups along the bottom (42-47, 48-53, 54-56), a column of seven wide positions on each side (57-63 left, 64-70 right) and a short row 36-41 in the middle. Unused sockets on this edition: 30, 35, 38, 39, 49, 51, 59, 60 and 61.

Lift the boot floor: the rear power distribution box lies flat beneath it, slightly right of centre, with the allocation card tucked into the holder on its cover. 2014 cars (built from September 2013) use the same card edition, 9 228 158-02, as the previous year; there is no separate sheet for the Gran Turismo.

Rows run left to right and columns top to bottom, exactly as the card prints them. Top: 100-104 (mini) then 105-111 (standard). Middle right: 112-117. Left of centre: 118-120 with 121-123 beside them. Bottom: 124-135 then 136-142. Columns: 143-153 at the far left (a gap after 148), 154-159 inboard of it, 160-166 down the right side. Positions 101, 102, 105, 108-112, 115, 118, 119, 129, 131, 133, 134, 136, 138, 156, 157, 158 and 166 hold no fuse.

Behind the trim on the right of the boot, mounted above the battery on the rear electronic module; remove the side panel to reach it. Model year 2014 cars have the same five REM fuses as the 2013 cars, on the same card edition (9 228 158-02).

Reading downwards from the top of the column: 80 (slot 5), 84 (slot 4), 83 (slot 3), 85 (slot 2) and 82 (slot 1) - the slot numbers are moulded on the module and printed on the card beside the fuse numbers; 81 is not used. The four large housings are the module's relays.
