2000 BMW 3 Series E46 Fuse Box Diagram

On a 2000 model-year E46 (built from September 1999) the fuses sit behind the glove box: swing the lid down, give the two white latches at its sides a quarter turn outwards and the fuse panel drops towards you. A red fuse puller and the 1999 edition of the BMW allocation card ride on the panel; this half is everything the card prints left of its notch.

The layout runs, from the left: two flat MAXI sockets stacked one over the other, then the three upright 50 A MAXI fuses 35, 36 and 37. Beside them the upper row counts 1 to 15 and the lower row 38 to 52, both left to right, with 38 directly under 1. Four pockets between the rows carry spare fuses. Positions 1 to 4 have never been assigned.

The second half of the same glove-compartment panel on the 2000 model year: everything to the right of the red puller, which is how the 1999 fuse allocation card divides the box too. Reach it by opening the glove box, turning both white latches outwards and lowering the panel.

Two rows of upright ATO fuses run left to right, 16 to 34 above and 53 to 71 below, each lower fuse straight under its partner (53 under 16, 71 under 34). The six sockets 16 to 21 are empty on every car of this year, position 66 is still unassigned, and the four flat pockets between the rows are for spares.
