2001 BMW 3 Series E46 Fuse Box Diagram

Model-year 2001 cars (built September 2000 to August 2001) keep the E46 fuse panel inside the glove compartment. With the lid open, turn the two white quick-release latches outwards and fold the panel down; the fuse puller and the allocation card are clipped to its back. Cars from March 2001 carry BMW card 6 912 574.9, earlier ones the 1999 print, and the two differ only in the ratings of 54 and 64.

This diagram is the left half as the card prints it: the MAXI block with its two flat sockets and the upright 50 A fuses 35 to 37, then the upper row 1 to 15 over the lower row 38 to 52. Numbers grow from left to right, 38 sits under 1, and the four flat pockets hold spares. 1 to 4 are unused.

Right-hand half of the E46 glove-compartment fuse panel for the 2001 model year, past the fuse puller. The panel is reached by opening the glove box and turning the two white latches at its edges outwards so it hinges down; the fuse card clipped to it lists these positions in its right-hand tables.

The upper row is 16 to 34 and the lower row 53 to 71, both counted from the puller outwards to the right, with each lower position under its upper partner. 16 to 21 are empty sockets, 66 has no fuse on this year, and the four horizontal pockets between the rows are spare-fuse holders.
