Driver's side fuse panel
Reach into the driver's footwell of a 2018 i30 and the fuse panel is in the side of the dashboard, behind a trim cover that unclips towards the door hinge. A rocker marked OFF above and ON below stands in the middle of the fuse field; that is Hyundai's battery saver switch, and turning it off stops the car draining its battery while it is parked up.
Forty-five pockets fill eight columns. Counting starts at the top of the left-hand column and works downwards before stepping one column to the right, which is how the handbook arrives at F1 for MODULE 5 and F45 for HEATED STEERING; the first two columns are nine pockets deep, the two flanking the switch only three. The i30 N and the Fastback both joined the range in 2018 and share this launch-edition label.

Engine compartment fuse panel
Lift the bonnet of a 2018 i30 and the fuse and relay box is the tall black case behind the left-hand headlamp, immediately forward of the battery. The lid comes off without tools and carries the assignment label on its inner face; the plastic fuse puller clips into the bottom corner of the box, beside the row of relays drawn along the foot of this diagram.
Positions are grouped by size rather than by number: sixteen small blades in two rows of eight at the top, nine strip fuses standing on end in the wide row below them, five more strips under those, and the 30 to 40 A cartridges along the bottom next to the 150 A main link and the 80 A steering feed. Hyundai numbers the box F1 to F52 and simply leaves out the numbers it has not assigned, so the sequence has gaps.
