Driver's side fuse panel
On a 2017 i30 the driver's side fuse panel is behind a pull-off cover in the end face of the dashboard, left of the steering wheel and above the pedals; open the driver's door and the cover is facing you. The rocker marked OFF and ON in the middle of the fuse field is not a fuse - it is the switch that isolates the car's standing current for long storage.
Hyundai gives these fuses names rather than numbers on the cover label, so the numbers here are the handbook's F1 to F45. They run down each column in turn starting at the left edge, which makes F1 to F9 the tall first column and F43 to F45 the short column at the right. Seven of the forty-five pockets hold spare fuses. This page follows the first PD handbook, printed in November 2016 for the car's first model year.

Engine compartment fuse panel
The engine compartment fuse and relay box of a 2017 i30 sits on the left of the engine bay beside the battery, under a ribbed black lid that releases with a clip on each long side. The fuse map is printed on the underside of that lid, and it is the drawing this diagram is built from.
It is really three boxes in one housing: sixteen small blade fuses in two rows of eight under the connectors at the top, a field of bolt-down strip fuses from 30 to 150 A across the middle, and M-case cartridges for the 30 and 40 A circuits along the bottom, with fourteen relays around them. The blocks are drawn at a size you can read rather than at the lid's own scale - the small fuses are tiny next to the housing - and the six spare pockets are gathered into one row for the same reason.
