2017 BMW 5 Series F10 Fuse Box Diagram

On the last F10 saloons (built until October 2016) and F11 Tourings (until February 2017) sold as 2017 models, the passenger-compartment fuses are still in the glove compartment: swing the glove box open and take off the cover in its rear wall; the holder stands on end behind it and the relays for the horn and the wipers are on it too. The successor G30 moved these fuses elsewhere, so this drawing applies to the F10/F11 only. It follows BMW's fuse card 9 267 980, printed per car with the ratings and a symbol index.

Positions run left to right in each row: 1-5, then 7-9 (the three large ATO fuses), then 10-15 across the top; 16-22, 23-29 and 31-35 below them; 36-42, 43-48 and 50-55 in the third row; 56-61 at the bottom left; 62-67 top to bottom in the right-hand column. The unnumbered sockets after 5, before 31 and before 50 carry shunts (bridging plugs), and position 41 is unpopulated.

A 2017 5 Series of the F10 generation - the run-out saloons and the last F11 Tourings before the G30 - keeps its rear fuse box on the right of the luggage compartment, behind a cover in the side trim; the fuse allocation card lives in the same recess. This page draws the card BMW printed for the facelifted cars (part 9 267 980); a G30 built in 2017 has a different box and is not covered here. Where the two card editions in hand differ (105, 108, 111, 127, 142, 147, 172, 197) the description says so.

Reading order, as on the card: 100-105 down the left edge with three shunt sockets between them; 107-111 and 112-116 below in two columns; 117-121 and 122-126 in the next two columns; 127-131 and 132-136 as two rows of upright fuses at the top; 137-141 and 142-146, then 147-151 and 152-156, as row pairs in the lower half; 167-171 and 172-176 in two columns; 177-183 down the right-hand side; and the long bottom row 184-204 from left to right. Numbers 157-166 are not used.
