Glove compartment fuse box, positions 1-15 (left part of the row)
From the September 2000 facelift (model year 2001) the 5 Series carries a new allocation card, edition 6 907 364, in the glove compartment: the front cigarette lighter moved onto fuse 7 and the fuel pump onto 22. The box itself is unchanged: fold the panel down after turning the two white fasteners inside the glove box to the left; the card and a fuse puller are clipped to the back of it.
Positions 1 to 15 are the leftmost stretch of the single 45-fuse row, read left to right with the moulded numbers underneath. Two pockets above positions 8 to 12 store spares. Position 8 is empty on the facelift card.
