Engine compartment fuse box, layout B (with REC)
Open the bonnet and look at the left-hand side, just inboard of the battery: the fuse and relay box sits there under a lid with a screwdriver slot. Insert the screwdriver fully, lever it sideways, and the lid unlatches and hinges upwards. For model year 2010 (handbook edition June 2009, the first Zafira book in GM's global format) the table below applies when the car has the Rear Electrical Centre in the boot – base cars with the small boot box use layout A instead.
Numbering starts with the cartridge row 1–3 in the top right corner and continues clockwise: 4 on the right edge, then 5 and 6 at the left of the middle band, 7 over 8, cartridge 9 and the run 10–16 across the centre, 17 on the right, 18–21 along the bottom. The twelve small fuses 22–33 form two rows of six at the bottom right (upper row first, each left to right) and 34–36 finish the box beside the lower row.

Engine compartment fuse box, layout A (without REC)
Layout A for model year 2010: fitted when the boot has the small load-compartment fuse box (version A) instead of the Rear Electrical Centre. Location is unchanged – front left of the engine bay next to the battery, under the lid that a screwdriver, inserted fully into its slot and tilted sideways, unlatches so it can be opened upwards and removed.
Geometry as for the REC cars: the cartridge row 1 2 3 top right with 4 below it, 5 and 6 on the left of the middle band, 7 stacked over 8, cartridge 9 and the small fuses 10 to 16, cartridge 17 on the right, 18 19 20 21 along the bottom, then 22–27 over 28–33 and 34–36 at the bottom right. In this version 9 feeds the heated rear window, 10 the diagnostic socket, 20 the horn and 36 the cigarette lighter, while 19, 25 and 28 carry no fuse.

Load compartment fuse box, version B (Rear Electrical Centre)
Behind the left side trim of the boot. Press the locking tabs of the cover forward, take the cover off, and the Rear Electrical Centre (fuse box version B) is in front of you, harness plugs top and bottom. This is the equipment-dependent large box; the 2010 handbook (June 2009 edition) prints its circuits without ratings, so the ratings shown come from the January 2007 Vauxhall edition and the workshop tables.
Two rows, both numbered from the left. Upper row: 1 (cartridge), 2 (cartridge socket, unused), 3 4 5 6 7, 8 and 9 (cartridge sockets, unused), 10 (a small fuse lying sideways, unused), 11 (cartridge, heated rear window), 12 to 22. Lower row: 23 (cartridge), 24 to 30, 31 (cartridge socket), 32, 33 to 38, 39 to 42, 43 and 44 (cartridge sockets). The six pockets between the rows hold spare fuses next to the extractor.
