Main fuse box in the driver's footwell (SRB)

The SRB module — the main fuse and relay box — is behind the cover in the left-hand footwell, just above the floor. Release the quick-release fastener, pull the cover off and you are looking at the relays on the left and the fuse columns on the right. The 2012 handbook (part 906 584 83 72) is the edition drawn here.

Count the fuses from the bottom of each column upwards: the column beside the relays is 1 to 7, the middle one 8 to 15, the outer one 16 to 24. Fuse 25, the wider MAXI for the centre-console 12 V socket, sits below column 1–7. Relays are R1 to R8 as labelled.

Fuse blocks F55/1 and F55/2 on the main fuse box

Fuse blocks F55/1 and F55/2 are the pair of nine-fuse columns on the end of the main fuse box. Their numbers start again at 1, so they are drawn on their own. New in the 2012 edition: position 15 is now the brake system control unit (5 A) and 10 covers a single- or double-DIN radio.

F55/1 runs 9 at the top to 1 at the bottom, F55/2 alongside it runs 18 down to 10 — both columns are read downwards.

Fuse box under the driver's seat

In 2012 the seat-base fuse box gained a fifth block. It is still on the outboard side of the driver's seat base (seat fully up, two latching springs pressed down, cover off), but the 2012 handbook prints positions 37–45 as fuse block F55/7 below the other four, with 39 and 42–45 assigned to courier bodies, rear air conditioning and the electric step.

All five blocks count left to right: F55/3 (1–9) and F55/4 (10–18) on top, F55/5 (19–27) and F55/6 (28–36) in the middle row, F55/7 (37–45) at the bottom left. The fuel pump moved to a 20 A fuse at 13 in this edition.
