Main fuse box in the driver's footwell (SRB)

The main fuse and relay module (SRB, K40/9) sits in the footwell on the left-hand side, behind a cover in the kick panel: turn the quick-release fastener and lift the cover off. This is the box the MY2010 operator's manual calls the fuse and relay block SRB.

Three columns of fuses stand on the right-hand end of the module and every column counts upwards from the bottom: 1 to 7 in the column nearest the relays, 8 to 15 in the middle column (which starts one row lower), 16 to 24 in the outer column. The larger fuse 25 below the first column feeds the centre-console socket. Relays R1 to R8 occupy the left two thirds of the housing.

Fuse blocks F55/1 and F55/2 on the main fuse box

On the outboard end of the same footwell module, next to the F1–F25 columns, a slim carrier holds two more columns of nine fuses. Mercedes numbers them as fuse blocks F55/1 (1–9) and F55/2 (10–18) — a separate count that restarts at 1, which is why they get their own drawing here.

Both columns are numbered from the top down to the bottom: F55/1 reads 9 at the top and 1 at the bottom, F55/2 next to it reads 18 down to 10. The MY2010 edition leaves position 15 empty; the brake system control unit only moves in there with the 2012 edition.

Fuse box under the driver's seat

Fuses for optional equipment live in the base of the driver's seat, on its outboard side. Run the seat to its highest position, press the two latching springs down and take the cover off. Mercedes' 2010 plate (N54.15-2147-31) shows four blocks of nine fuses plus a row of relay sockets above them.

Every block is read left to right: F55/3 holds 1–9 and F55/4 holds 10–18 on the upper row, F55/5 (19–27) and F55/6 (28–36) sit below them. A 2010 van has no fifth block; the F55/7 block with positions 37–45 appears on vans built from the 2012 edition on.
