2017 BMW X5 F15 Fuse Box Diagram

Cars built from July 2016 - the 2017 model year - carry a revised fuse card: 62 (vertical dynamics management) drops from 30 to 20 A, and the tailgate function module appears on the rear card. The box itself did not move: it is behind the lower trim of the glove compartment, reached from the front passenger footwell by releasing three fasteners and lowering the panel. Fuses 36 and 37 (12 V socket and cigarette lighter) are the ones most often asked for here.

The drawing follows the card's landscape orientation. Upper row 18-35 (MINI, three groups of six), lower row 42-56 (MINI, groups of six, six and three), 57-63 stacked on the left, 64-70 stacked on the right, and 36-41 in the middle where the ATO trio 36-38 is followed by the MINI trio 39-41.

From July 2016 production, the 2017 X5's rear card prints the tailgate function module on 107 and raises 150 to 7.5 A - this page follows that later edition. The box is in the same place as before: luggage compartment, right-hand side, behind the trim cover, mounted on end; the fuse card and puller are stored with it.

Orientation here is the card's. Rows read left to right: 100-104, 105-111 at the top; 112-117 mid-right; 118-120 and 121-123 lower left; 124-135 and 136-142 at the bottom. Columns read top to bottom: 143-148 and 149-153 at the far left, 154-159 beside them, 160-166 at the right edge. Positions 108, 109, 111, 119, 123, 125, 136-138, 141, 142, 157 and 161 have no fuse on the card in hand.

The 2017 X5 keeps its window, door-lock, horn and rear-window heating fuses on the body domain controller (BDC) - a control unit fixed upright to the A-pillar in the front passenger footwell, covered by the side trim below the glove compartment. The July-2016 card edition prints the same fourteen positions as the earlier cards; nothing changed here.

The card lays the module on its side: upper row 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 from left to right, lower row 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8. Stood upright in the car, each row becomes a column of seven. 8 and 14 are empty positions.
