2014 BMW X5 F15 Fuse Box Diagram

The first F15 model year (built from August 2013, on sale from November 2013) moved the main fuse box out of the engine bay and into the cabin: it sits above the front passenger footwell, on the underside of the glove compartment. Turn the three quick-release fasteners along the lower edge of the glove-box trim, swing the panel down and the box is in front of you. The fuse card that lists every position is not stored here but in the luggage compartment, behind the right-hand side trim.

Read the card landscape, as this drawing does: 18-35 form the upper row in three groups of six, 42-56 the lower row, 57-63 run down the left edge and 64-70 down the right, while 36-41 sit between the two relay housings in the centre. 40 and 51 are empty on every card in hand; 39 is rated by the workshop list only.

The rear power distribution box of the 2014 X5 is behind the right-hand side trim of the luggage compartment, mounted on end. Open the cover in the trim (arrow on the cover) and the box stands in front of you, with the fuse allocation card and the fuse puller kept beside it. The card in hand is the early edition: 150 carries 5 A and 107 feeds the automatic tailgate drive.

This drawing shows the card's landscape layout, so turn the card a quarter turn to match the box as installed. 100-104 (MINI) and 105-111 (ATO) run along the top, 112-117 sit right of centre, 118-123 below the left relay, 124-135 (MINI) and 136-142 (ATO) along the bottom, 143-153 down the left edge, 154-159 in the second column, 160-166 down the right edge. 167 (front door soft-close) is placed by the workshop drawing.

The body domain controller (BDC) of the 2014 X5 is the tall control unit on the A-pillar side of the front passenger footwell, behind the side trim below the glove compartment; its fourteen fuses (windows, door locks, heated rear window, horn) sit between its connector blocks. The side trim clips off after the edge protection is pulled back - BMW uses a trim tool for it.

The card draws the module lying flat with two rows of seven, numbered right to left: 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 across the upper row and 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8 across the lower. Installed, the module stands upright, so the rows become two columns. 8 and 14 are empty.
