2012 Mazda 6 GH Fuse Box Diagram

You reach this block from above with the bonnet up: it is the lidded box on the left-hand side of the engine bay next to the battery, and the lid comes off by pressing the catch and lifting. Mazda's own instruction is to check the cabin fuses first and come out here only when the headlights or another under-bonnet circuit is dead.

The table below is the one printed in the 2012 handbook (Form No. 8CD1-EA-11C), which repeats the facelift assignments unchanged: 4 and 16 are numbered sockets with nothing behind them, 3 and 10 are DSC cartridges, and 26 is rated 10 A on the 2.5-litre four and 20 A on the 3.7-litre V6. Reading the plate is a matter of working down one group at a time - each little cluster is numbered from its top cell to its bottom before the count moves on to the next cluster to the right.

In the last full model year before the GJ Mazda6 arrived, the cabin fuses were still where they had been since 2009 - behind a sliding cover in the driver's-side kick panel, reachable from the driver's seat without tools.

Five columns, four rows, eighteen numbers. The wide socket at the top left takes a cartridge fuse for the power windows; everything else is a mini blade standing upright. Two of the numbers, 6 and 8, are sockets Mazda never assigned on this market, and the last three are spare-fuse pockets rather than live circuits - the 2012 book lists a 20 A and a 10 A spare in the first two of them. Work down a column, then move one column right, and the printed numbers fall where you expect them.
