Engine compartment fuse block
Lift the bonnet and look down the left-hand wing beside the battery: the black box clipped there is the Mazda6's engine-compartment fuse block. Its cover unclips at the front, and the same layout you see below is printed on the underside of it.
The December 2009 handbook for the 2010 car (Form No. 8BJ2-EA-09L) still runs the numbering exactly as the 2009 book does: 1 and 2 down the short left-hand column, 4 to 9 down the tall one beside it, 13 to 16 down the third, then the cartridge groups 10-12 and 17-21 lower down, the single cartridge 3 on its own at the bottom left, the engine-management column 23-27 through the middle, and 32 to 40 down the right-hand edge. Only one thing moved between the two printings: position 34 loses the ENG+B name it carried in 2009 and is listed by function alone.

Passenger compartment fuse block
Open the driver's door of a 2010 Mazda6 and look at the trim panel ahead of the pedals: the fuse cover there slides rearwards off its tabs and exposes the cabin fuse block. Mazda's handbook heads its table Fuse block (Passenger's side), which means the passenger compartment rather than the front passenger seat.
Four rows deep and five columns wide, with the top-left corner given over to a single wide cartridge fuse for the power windows. The count runs downwards before it runs across, so the second column begins at 5 rather than at 2, and the right-hand column stops after three sockets. The fuse puller you need for these lives in the engine-compartment block, not in this one - the December 2009 book is explicit about that.
