2009 Mazda 6 GH Fuse Box Diagram

On the first North American model year of the GH Mazda6 this block sits under the bonnet on the left-hand side of the engine bay, hard against the battery; press the latch on the front edge of the plastic lid and lift it away, and the fuse map is moulded on the inside of that lid.

Forty numbered sockets are spread over ten small groups. The 2009 owner's manual (Form No. 8Z64-EA-08H) numbers them down each group in turn, starting with the stepped block of mini blades at the top left and finishing with the nine-socket column of headlight and body fuses on the right. Ten sockets in the middle and lower groups take flat cartridge fuses rather than blades, position 22 stands on end on its own, and the 125 A MAIN link at the foot of the plate is bolted down. The unnumbered housings filling the right-hand third of the real box are relay sockets that the handbook does not identify, so they are left off this drawing.

Despite the name Mazda gives the table - Fuse block (Passenger's side) - this block is in the cabin on the driver's side, low down in the kick panel beside your left shin. The cover slides straight back towards you; pulling it sideways snaps its retaining tabs.

Eighteen sockets sit in five short columns. Position 1 is a flat cartridge fuse wide enough to fill the space two blades would take, and it occupies the top-left corner on its own; the other seventeen are mini blades standing on end. The 2009 handbook numbers them column by column - 1 to 4 down the left, 5 to 7 next, 8 to 11, 12 to 15, then 16 to 18 down the short right-hand column. Positions 6 and 8 are numbered but carry nothing, and 16 to 18 are the pockets that hold the car's spare fuses.
