Left side of dash panel - carrier A (black)

Open the driver's door and the end face of the dash panel is exposed. Behind its cover, with the fuse puller clipped inside, stand three fuse carriers, and the black one nearest the door is carrier A.

Twelve MINI positions run down it, 1 at the top through to 12 at the bottom. Four ATO positions sit apart from them, in the narrow strip against the carrier's right edge: 13, 14, 15 and 16, each level with a group of three in the main column. Carrier A is the one that hangs off an auxiliary supply — position 15 in that strip is the fuse feeding the twelve MINI positions of the column — and the 2016 US manual prints it on plate B8F-0296 exactly as the previous edition does.

Left side of dash panel - carrier B (brown)

Behind the trim cover at the driver's end of the dash panel, reachable with the door open, three carriers stand side by side. B is the middle one, brown, and carries twelve ATO fuses.

Counting starts at the top: 1 is the uppermost socket and 12 the lowest. Position 4 is one whose rating depends on the car — 5 A for the AdBlue pump on the diesel, 25 A for the brake booster on the hybrid — a row the tables gained when the SCR diesel joined the range for 2014.

Left side of dash panel - carrier C (red)

The red carrier, third in the row behind the cover on the driver's-side end face of the dash panel, holds twelve ATO positions numbered downwards from the top.

The first two are blanks — nothing is fitted at 1 or 2 on any version — and the column proper begins at 3 with the lumbar support. The 2016 US edition prints its tables without ratings, so the values shown come from the 2014 edition, whose functions are identical position for position.

Right side of dash panel - carrier A (black)

Behind the cover on the right-hand end face of the dash panel, in front of the passenger, the black carrier A shares the recess with the brown carrier B and a relay housing at the far right.

Its twelve ATO positions are counted from the bottom upwards, 1 lowest and 12 highest — the reverse of the carriers on the driver's side. Eight of them are blanks; the fuses sit at 5, 7, 8 and 9. Position 6 held the ESP feed before the facelift and has been empty since.

Right side of dash panel - carrier B (brown)

The passenger's end of the dash panel unclips to reveal two fuse carriers; B is the brown one on the right, next to the relay housing.

Its column of twelve ATO fuses starts at the bottom: 1 is the lowest socket, 12 the topmost. Every position is populated, unlike its neighbour A. The 2016 manual's table for this carrier is word for word the 2015 book's, and the ratings shown are the 2014 edition's.

Luggage compartment - carrier B (black)

Carrier B is the first of the three carriers under the cover behind the right-hand side trim of the luggage compartment, and the only one with a high-current fuse beside it: the 50 A link at its left is drawn on the plate but listed in no table.

Twelve ATO positions run up the column, 1 at the bottom to 12 at the top. They feed the tailgate control unit, the trailer module, the electromechanical parking brake, the tail lights and the damping control. Position 11 is the central locking supply, which the 2013 edition still called the vehicle electrical system control module.

Luggage compartment - carrier C (brown)

Behind the side trim on the right of the luggage compartment, under the fuse cover, the brown carrier C is the middle member of the group — B to its left, E beyond the gap on the right.

Twelve ATO fuses stand in a column read from the bottom up. Positions 1 and 7 duplicate circuits that also appear on B, the tailgate control unit and the electromechanical parking brake; 2 feeds the 12 V sockets and the cigarette lighter; 3 and 4 the two paths of the DC/DC converter.

Luggage compartment - carrier E (black)

The right-hand carrier in the boot's fuse recess, behind the side trim, is E: black, twelve ATO positions, mounted slightly below the level of B and C.

Numbering climbs the column from 1 at the bottom. Position 3 is worth knowing — it is the terminal 30 supply that feeds the four ATO fuses 13 to 16 on the driver's-side dash carrier A. Sockets 9 and 10 are blanks on every version.
