Engine compartment fuse box (TIPM)
The 2009 Ram 1500 keeps every fuse in one place: the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM), a black box on the driver's side of the engine bay right next to the battery. Release the cover latches and lift the cover off; the cavity numbers are stamped on its underside. There is no fuse panel inside the cab.
This first year of the DS generation (coil-sprung rear axle, optional RamBox bed, 3.7 V6, 4.7 V8 and 5.7 HEMI) uses the 54-cavity module: sixteen cartridges J01 to J16 and thirty-eight mini fuses M17 to M54, one number sequence across both. Trucks leave the factory with the 60 A ignition-off-draw fuse J15 pulled up in its retainer; press it home if the radio or keyless entry is dead on a new truck. The two white 25 A blocks C01 and C02 are circuit breakers.
