Instrument panel fuse box (fuse holder C)
On the driver's side of the dash panel behind the cover at the end of the facia: lever the cover off at the recess with a flat tool from the vehicle tool kit; the plastic fuse pliers clip into the inside of the cover. Volkswagen's fuse holder C (SC1-SC49), seen with the cover off: three rows of MINI fuses at the top (1-6, 7-11 and 12-21), three rows of ATO fuses (22-31, 32-39, 40-45) and a short bottom row of MINI fuses (46-49); every row reads left to right. Positions 7-11, 15, 18, 26, 29-31, 39, 41, 46 and 49 are not used on cars built from May 2012; several ratings changed in May 2012 (see the fuse descriptions).

Engine compartment fuse box (fuse holder B, E-box low)
On the left of the engine compartment, in the electronics box (E-box) under a cover: push the two release catches in the direction of the arrows and lift the cover off upwards. This is the 'low' E-box fitted to the four-cylinder Eos; Volkswagen's fuse holder B (SB1-SB30): SB1-SB8 stacked down the right-hand edge, SB9 and SB10 on end below them, SB11-SB15 stacked at the lower right, SB16/SB17 at the top left, the large SB27-SB30 down the left with SB18-SB20 beside them, SB21-SB24 stacked in the middle, the large SB25/SB26 at the right, and the relay housings A1 (engine power supply relay) and A2 (secondary air pump relay or a bridge on diesels) at the bottom. Positions 25-30 are MAXI blades, the rest ATO. Ratings that depend on the engine are stored as the lowest value with the alternative in the description.

High-current fuse holder on the engine compartment fuse box (fuse holder A)
The row of bolt-down strip fuses on the front face of the engine compartment electronics box, reached with the box cover off (the battery itself is in the luggage compartment). Volkswagen's fuse holder A on cars built from November 2008: SA1-SA6 read left to right, then the terminal stud TV2 and three unused strip-fuse slots. Ratings depend on the alternator and the heater fitted; the lowest value is stored with the alternative in the description.
