2004 Toyota Tundra I Fuse Box Diagram

Standard and Access Cab trucks keep the 2003 engine box for 2004 - driver's side of the compartment, behind the battery, cover on clips - and OM34426U ("from Sep. '03 Prod.") reprints plate R80020 for the 2UZ-FE V8. Two cartridge ratings move this model year: ABS 2 goes to 50 A, and ABS 3 is 30 A on trucks without vehicle stability control, 50 A with it. Positions are unchanged - a left column of cartridges over blades, the FL ALT link centred beside a hatched second link socket, twelve on-end blades in four groups of three, a right column of cartridges over blades 17 to 22, relays along the bottom edge.

The 5VZ-FE plate R80021 appears again in the September 2003 book for 2004 Standard and Access Cab trucks: the box behind the battery on the driver's side, its lid released by the clips. As in 2003 the V6 drawing hatches the two towing sockets 3 and 4 and the ST3 cartridge 42, and numbers the throttle fuse 23 at 15 A in the socket the V8 numbers 18. What changed for the model year is on the brake cartridges: ABS 2 rises to 50 A, and ABS 3 is 30 A, or 50 A where vehicle stability control is fitted.

Standard and Access Cab: the fuse block sits in the driver's kick panel to the left of the steering column, behind a cover that lifts away without tools. Plate R80019 is reprinted from 2003, so both the layout and the numbers stand - three columns of horizontal blades filled downwards, 24 to 27, 28 to 32 and 33 to 36, the first socket of the left column empty, POWER as cartridge 43 above the right column. The 2004 edition changes nothing in this carrier; its revisions are all on the engine box's ABS cartridges.

Double Cab electrics are Sequoia-derived and come on five plates of their own; this is the main box, R80024, at the front right of the engine compartment under a clipped cover. Cartridges 54, 55 and 56 fill its left side with blade 10 standing on end beside them and the links 62 and 63 below; cartridges 57 and 58 sit in the middle over the three spare blades 11, 12 and 13; the right side is a block of horizontal blades numbered down its columns from 14 to 29, with 25 and 29 offset half a row. The numbers belong to the Double Cab's own run of 1 to 63, not the Standard Cab's.

At the rear right of the 2004 Double Cab's engine compartment, under a lid of its own, plate R80022 draws a relay box with five blades standing on end at its right-hand end. They are numbered right to left: 5 and 4 on the upper row, 3, 2 and 1 on the lower, so the first fuse of the truck's sequence is the one furthest from the edge. Headlight and air-conditioning circuits are what they protect; the relay housings around them are unnamed on Toyota's plate.

On the left of the 2004 Double Cab's engine bay, a small box holds four fuses on end between two relays - 6, 7, 8 and 9 left to right on plate R80023. Three are trailer circuits (tail lights, sub-battery charging, brake controller) and the fourth, 6, is the rear seat entertainment fuse, which the 2005 redraw moves out of here. Its cover clips off the top.

Only the 2004 Double Cab has this holder: a single socket behind the cowl (kick) panel on the front passenger's side, sitting next to a relay. It carries STA, 7.5 A - position 30 of the Double Cab's 63-position sequence, on plate R80025. When Toyota redrew the Double Cab boxes for 2005 the holder disappeared, so no later model year has one.

Plate R80026 covers the cab box of the 2004 Double Cab: under the instrument panel on the driver's side, left of the steering column, behind a cover that comes off by hand. Four columns of horizontal blades hold 31 to 36, 37 to 42, 43 to 48 and 49 to 53, the fourth column starting one row lower than the others, and the cartridges 59, 60 and 61 are mounted below them. The sequence is the Double Cab's own, running on from the boxes out in the engine compartment.
