Engine compartment fuse box type A (European edition)
The last XA40 model year documents this box no better than the first facelift one did - no European manual printed after October 2015 contains a fuse table - so the forty-three positions follow the database socket order rather than a Toyota sequence, and the facelift-only rows behind them rest on a single source. Access is unchanged from 2013: the left-hand box in the engine bay, next to the battery, cover released by pinching its two tabs. The BMW-built 2.0 2WW diesel offered from the facelift changes several ratings in this box, the EFI-MAIN pair and the three EFI fuses among them.

Engine compartment fuse box type B (European edition)
This is the heater and fan box, the smaller of the pair on the left of the engine compartment, opened by pinching the two tabs on its cover. Its twenty-six numbered sockets are a database index and not Toyota's: no owner's manual printed for the RAV4 after October 2015 contains a fuse table. Several of its positions - the two rear seat heater fuses, the second condenser and radiator fan fuses and the pair of headlight washer fuses - are recorded from that single facelift table, with no manual to confirm them.

Under the instrument panel fuse box
Two rows of sixteen sockets with the fuses standing on end, numbered 1 to 32 in the fuse databases' order, because the last RAV4 manual to print a fuse table was the European edition of April 2015. The box is under the driver's side of the instrument panel and is opened by lifting its lid, with an extra cover to remove first on right-hand-drive cars. D/L NO.2 occupies one of the two sockets that the numbered manual editions left blank.

Behind the instrument panel fuse box
This little group of four cartridges never changed through the XA40's life: the front seat supplies, the power back door and the power window master switch, all of them 30 A, on the rear of the junction block behind the dash. Reach them by removing the under-column panel on left-hand-drive cars or the glove box on right-hand-drive ones. The numbering shown is the fuse databases' column order, the only one published for a 2018 car.
