2015 Toyota RAV4 XA40 Fuse Box Diagram

April 2015 brought a new European edition, OM42A79E, and one more fuse with it: ST NO.2 fills the socket under the first column's blades on 3ZR-FAE Stop and Start cars built from that month, becoming position 7 and moving every later number up by one, to thirty-eight in all. A 2015 car built earlier reads the 2014 numbering instead. The box is the left-hand one in the engine compartment, beside the battery, under a two-tab cover; its first column ends in the VLVMATIC, ABS NO.2 and ABS NO.1 cartridges, its second in the GLOW, EPS and ALT links, and the three spares lie in the pocket at the bottom left.

The April 2015 edition adds a NOISE FILTER between FOG FR and STV HTR, taking position 11, so the count rises to fifteen and everything that used to be 11 or later moves up by one against the 2014 plate. It is the second engine-compartment box, beside the main one under a two-tab cover of its own, holding the PTC heater, fan and blower cartridges in one column and the small fuses of the daytime running lights, towing, front fog lights and mirror heater in the other. Cars built before April 2015 follow the earlier numbering.

The North American fuse section did not follow the European revision of April 2015: OM42A17U and OM42A78U print the same plate D6RV018a and the same forty positions as the 2013 book, so this box has neither ST NO.2 nor a NOISE FILTER. It is the only fuse box in the engine compartment of these cars, mounted on the left beside the battery under a two-tab cover, and it merges the contents of the two European boxes - the PTC heater, condenser fan, radiator fan and defogger cartridges sit in its second column between DEICER and ABS NO.1.

Neither the April 2015 European edition nor the 2015 North American books touch this carrier: it keeps the thirty numbers of plate D6RV021 while both engine-compartment boxes were renumbered around it. Reach it under the instrument panel on the driver's side, lifting the lid directly on left-hand-drive cars and removing a cover first on right-hand-drive ones. Sixteen sockets to a row, two rows, fuses standing on end, with one dead socket at the start of the upper row and another six sockets into the lower one.

Behind the instrument panel, on the rear face of the junction block, sit four cartridges that no other box duplicates. The April 2015 edition renumbered both engine-compartment boxes and left these four exactly as they were, numbered across the rows on plate D6RV024. Access is through the panel under the steering column on left-hand-drive cars and through the glove box on right-hand-drive ones.
