At the front left of the engine compartment, alongside the battery. Release the catch on the cover, fold it up and lift it off.

Thirty-five positions share the housing with the engine relays, in three sizes: MINI blades, six JCase cartridges at 8, 9, 10, 26, 27 and 28, and one 70 A MAXI at 22 for the body electrical centre. The owner's manual of the launch years prints the box landscape, and the drawing follows it — 1 to 10 along the bottom with 10 at the left-hand end, 11 to 21 in two rows at the right, 22 to 32 at the left, and 33 to 35 across the top, of which 34 and 35 are spare sockets. Several ratings depend on the engine and the equipment fitted; the lowest value is stored and the alternatives are named in each fuse's description.

Left-hand-drive cars carry this box behind the light switch: take hold of the top edge of the trim panel and fold it down. On right-hand-drive cars it is behind a cover in the glove compartment instead.

Fourteen MINI fuses lie in two columns, 1 to 7 on the left and 8 to 14 on the right, each read from the top down. The head of each column, 1 and 8, is an empty socket. Position 13 may well be empty too on a car from the first season: it belongs to the heated steering wheel, one of the options that only joined the Corsa D's list after the October 2006 launch.

The third box is in the boot, behind the trim cover on the left-hand side; take the cover off the box to reach the fuses.

Seventeen MINI positions: 4, 3, 2 and 1 stand in a row along the top, numbered from the right, 5 sits alone beneath them, and 6 to 11 and 12 to 17 form two columns read from the top down, with three relay sockets to their right. This is the box for equipment at the back of the car — adaptive forward lighting on 1, the left and right seat heaters on 3 and 4, the Flex-Fix carrier and towing equipment on 8 and 15, the sunroof on 17 — and those are all options, several of which reached the price list after the first cars were built, so an early Corsa has more empty sockets than the table suggests. Every position not in that list is a spare in any case.
