2017 Mazda 3 BN Fuse Box Diagram

The facelifted 2017 car did not move the block: it is still on the left of the engine compartment, alongside the battery and under a lift-off cover. What changed is what is in it — this is the first model year whose handbook fills position 43, and the first to label positions 30 and 37 for the electric parking brake that arrived with the facelift.

Four ranks of sockets, numbered left to right and top to bottom. The upper two are uniform rows of thirteen mini blades, 1–13 and 14–26. The third begins with six cartridge fuses — 27 to 32, the 20 A to 40 A end of the block — and finishes with mini blades 33, 34 and 35. The fourth starts a column further right with cartridges 36 to 39 and ends with four mini blades, 40 to 43, the last of which now carries the 10 A METER3 fuse. The sealed strip along the top is the multiplex slow blow fuse and must be left to a Mazda dealer; the grid of cubes on the left is the relay bank.

The facelift left this holder alone. On a 2017 Mazda 3 it is still the compact fuse carrier at the left-hand side of the passenger cell, tucked behind a snap-fit trim cover down by the sill, and it is still the block Mazda asks you to inspect before opening the bonnet.

Fifteen positions, two columns, numbered downwards. Column one holds eleven mini blades on their sides: 1 for the power seat, then the door locks, windows, seat warmers, sockets, steering lock, sunroof, mirrors and the front socket at 11. Column two holds four mini blades on end, 12 to 15. Position 6 is the one row the facelift re-worded — the handbook now describes SRS2/ESCL as the air bag and electronic steering lock feed rather than a seat weight sensor feed.
