2014 Mazda 3 BM Fuse Box Diagram

On the first model year of the third-generation Mazda 3 the engine compartment fuse block sits at the left-hand rear corner of the bay, hard against the battery; lift the black lid off its four clips and the whole block faces up at you. The fuse puller that the manual tells you to use on the cabin fuses lives clipped inside this lid.

Read the block as four ranks running left to right. The two top ranks are thirteen mini blades each, 1 to 13 and then 14 to 26. The third rank opens with six cartridge fuses, 27 to 32, and closes with three more mini blades, 33 to 35. The fourth rank, set one column to the right, runs four cartridges 36 to 39 and four mini blades 40 to 43 — although on a 2014 car position 43 is a bare socket, because the October 2013 handbook prints neither a name nor a rating for it. The grey bar above the first rank is the sealed multiplex slow blow fuse, and the cluster of dark cubes down the left side is the block’s relay bank; Mazda numbers neither.

Mazda calls this one the fuse block on the vehicle’s left side, and on a left-hand-drive 2014 Mazda 3 that puts it in the driver’s footwell: a narrow black carrier low on the kick panel by the door sill, hidden behind a trim cover you simply pull off. It is the block to check first — the handbook sends you under the bonnet only when the cabin fuses look good.

Fifteen positions in two files. Eleven mini blades lie flat in a single column, counted 1 at the top down to 11 at the bottom, and four more stand on end in a short column beside them, 12 to 15 from top to bottom. The four upright ones are the quiet end of the block in the 2014 book: only 12 is given a name, AT IND, while 13, 14 and 15 are printed with a rating and nothing else.
