2016 Kia Sorento UM Fuse Box Diagram

On the 2016 Sorento - the first model year of the third-generation UM in North America - the inner fuse panel hides behind a small hinged flap in the driver's side of the dashboard, low down and just left of the steering column. Pull the flap towards the door and the whole label faces you; the fuse switch sits in the middle of it.

Kia puts no numbers on this box. Every socket is identified by the circuit name moulded on the label - 91941-C6610 in this model year - so the positions below are counted the way the label reads: down the first column, then down the next, seven columns across and nine rows deep. Two cells are drawn but unassigned this year and carry no fuse; they are numbered here so that the 2017 and 2018 boxes, which fill them, keep the same numbers.

The engine compartment panel of the 2016 car is the black box against the left-hand inner wing, immediately behind the battery; three tabs release the lid and the label is printed on its underside. It carries the heavy feeds for the whole vehicle, so this is the box to open when a power outlet, the blower or the rear screen heating has died.

Positions are counted in the order Kia's own handbook lists them: the bolt-down multi fuses first, then the cartridge column, then the small blades read from the bottom of their column upwards, and finally the blocks on the right-hand half of the lid row by row. Four pockets marked SPARE hold 40, 20, 15 and 20 A spare fuses and are drawn as bare sockets, as are the sockets the label leaves blank.
