2012 Kia Optima TF Fuse Box Diagram

Behind the driver's knee, on the left-hand side of the dashboard, a small hinged lid covers the passenger compartment fuse panel of the 2012 Optima. The lid is released by hand; the plastic fuse puller for both boxes lives in the engine compartment box, not in this one.

The 2012 car carries the 2011 assignment unchanged: thirty-five named fuses in a block six wide and six deep, the last cell of the bottom row left empty, and two more - the audio and room lamp power connectors - below it. Because the label names the fuses instead of numbering them, the numbers used here follow the reading order of the label, and the Kia name opens every description. This is the model year in which the Hybrid arrived with its own version of the same label.

Lift the bonnet and the black box against the left-hand inner wing, beside the battery, is the engine compartment fuse and relay box; the lid unclips and the fuse chart is moulded into its underside.

This is the 2.4 GDI (G4KJ) chart. The heavy work is done by the eight multi fuses of the middle strip - two 60 A battery feeds to the interior junction box, the 80 A steering feed, 40 A for ignition, blower, stability control and the rear defroster - while the row of small blades to their left protects the sensors, injectors and coils. Kia gives every position a name and no number, so the numbering here starts at the top row of spares, runs along the EMS row and then column by column to the right-hand edge.

Turbocharged 2012 Optimas carry the T-GDI version of the engine box label, in the usual place on the driver's side of the engine bay behind the headlamp.

Set against the 2.4 GDI chart, the turbo car fills five cells differently: C/FAN (HI) takes the 60 A multi fuse position, RR HTD moves down to a 40 A cartridge, C/FAN (LO) feeds the low-speed fan, and both EPB cartridges are populated. The relay row along the bottom of the box carries the ACC, high and low cooling fan and starter relays, and the eight relays on the right include the deicer, hill-start assist and rain sensor. Positions are numbered as the label reads - the box itself only names them.
