Instrument panel fuse panel
The instrument panel fuse panel of the first North American model year of the TF Optima sits behind a hinged cover on the driver's side of the dash, left of the steering column and above the footwell; the cover pulls towards you and the panel then faces the driver's door.
Kia prints no numbers on this box - every fuse is identified by the name on the cover label - so the positions below are numbered the way the label reads: six across, six down, and the two POWER CONNECTOR fuses (AUDIO and ROOM LP) standing on their own underneath the block. Three cells are spare on the petrol car; the Optima Hybrid, which joined the range a year later, fills them with its water pump, battery management and HCU circuits.

Engine compartment fuse box (2.4 GDI)
Under the bonnet on the driver's side, next to the battery, the main fuse and relay box of the 2.4 GDI Optima carries its layout on the inside of the lid - label 91950-2T860 on the 2011 car.
The picture follows that label: three spare pockets along the top, the eight engine fuses of the EMS block in a row across the middle with the 30 A ECU 1 cartridge under them, the column of small fuses beside the fuse puller, the eight multi fuses of the high-current strip, a column of cartridges, and five more small fuses above the relay block on the right. Positions are numbered in that reading order because Kia names them rather than numbering them. Three cells on this label are blank: they belong to the parking brake and defroster feeds of the turbocharged car.

Engine compartment fuse box (2.0 T-GDI)
The SX Turbo's engine compartment box is the same housing as the 2.4 GDI car's, in the same place beside the battery, but it carries a different label - 91950-2T781 - because the 2.0 T-GDI drives its cooling fan and rear defroster differently.
Two areas tell the two cars apart. The fifth multi fuse is the 60 A high-speed cooling fan feed here, where the naturally aspirated car has a 40 A rear defroster feed; and the cartridge column carries a 40 A RR HTD plus both electric parking brake feeds, all three of which the 2.4 GDI leaves empty. Everything else - the EMS fuse row, the rest of the multi fuse strip, the relay positions - matches. The numbers are the label's reading order; the name printed on the box opens each description.
