2018 Ford Fusion II Fuse Box Diagram

Position 44 stops being a spare for 2018 and becomes the left-hand headlamp ballast at 20 A on cars with HID headlamps; spare fuses come back to 17, 18, 27, 45, 49, 53 and 86 in the January 2018 US and Canada printing. Access is on the driver's side of the engine bay: the cover clips off, hooked as it is into the wide lid recesses at each end of the box. Ford's numbering gives this face 1 to 55 and 86, and the underside 56 upwards. The plate is E190797. Cartridges at 1, 5, 10, 16, 17 and 86 are the M case type and are drawn as short cartridge bodies; the blade positions are Micro 2 singles and Micro 3 duals, with the dual bodies numbered 11/12, 13/14, 25/26, 46/47 and 54/55. What the numbered relays do: 2 starter, 4 blower motor, 9 powertrain control module, 15 run/start, 32 cooling fan 1, 33 A/C clutch, 38 cooling fan 2, 39 the coils of fans 2 and 3, 40 horn, 42 fuel pump coil; 6 and 41 are not used.

Spare fuses sit in 64, 66, 76 and 85 on the 2018 underside, and 81 still feeds the 110 V AC outlet, its last full model year. Everything else follows the facelift table. The face is reached by lifting the box out of its cradle: release the two latches on both sides, raise the inboard side, move the box towards the centre of the engine compartment and pivot the outboard side up so the underside comes into view. Plate E190798 numbers it 56 to 85, with 87 added below 64. Cartridge length gives the family: 20 to 40 A short bodies are M case, and the 50 and 60 A long bodies at 62, 67 and 87 are J case, joined by 59, 60 and 79, which every edition from 2015 types J case although the plate has never changed. The round bosses on the moulding are mounting studs, and the blocks along the bottom edge are the harness connectors.

Position 1 loses its interior-lighting circuit for 2018 and 16 is cut back to the child locks alone; the rest of the panel carries over from the facelift table. Look under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column, behind the finish trim below the steering wheel. The plate, E145984 in every edition of this car, is printed upright with 38 at the top and is drawn here turned a quarter turn: 38 at the left end, then three rows reading left to right. Single Micro 2 blades sit at 1-5, 16 and 23-37. Between them stand eight Micro 3 dual bodies, one fuse with two independently rated elements, the odd number always the upper one (7/6, 9/8, 11/10, 13/12, 15/14, 18/17, 20/19, 22/21); 16 is the odd one out, a single blade between 15 and 18. Position 38 is a 30 A socket whose fuse type Ford never prints.
