2016 Ford Fusion II Fuse Box Diagram

Plate E190797 arrives for 2016 and draws position 86 next to 34, the socket the 2015 table already listed. The March 2015 and January 2016 printings have identical fuse pages. Most of the spare fuses the 2015 edition scattered across the face (17, 18, 24, 27, 28, 34, 37, 43 and 44) are gone, leaving those sockets empty. Two relays swap duty: 39 now drives the coils of cooling fans 2 and 3, 40 the horn, and 41 is left unused, with 42 still the fuel pump coil; 2 remains the starter, 4 the blower motor, 9 the powertrain control module, 15 run/start, 32 cooling fan 1, 33 the A/C clutch, 38 cooling fan 2 and 6 unused. The box is under a clip-on cover on the driver's side of the engine compartment, the cover hooking into the two lid recesses at the ends of the plate. Numbers 1 to 55 and 86 belong to this face, 56 upwards to the underside. Cartridge positions 1, 5, 10, 16, 17 and 86 are M case; the rest are Micro 2 and Micro 3 blades, paired at 11/12, 13/14, 25/26, 46/47 and 54/55.

Cooling fan 2 on position 63 goes up from 20 to 25 A for 2016 while the transmission range control module on 83 comes down from 25 to 20 A; 78 becomes the trailer tow module, 57 drops to 20 A, 71 is emptied again and 85 is renamed as the second feed of the panoramic roof. Plate E190798 covers positions 56 to 85 and 87, the last of them tucked under 64. Getting at this face means taking the box out of its cradle: undo the latch on either side, lift the inboard edge, move the box towards the centre of the bay and pivot the outboard edge upward. Family by size: the short cartridges are M case fuses of 20 to 40 A, the two long ones at 62 and 67 plus the 60 A pump fuse at 87 are J case, and 59, 60 and 79 are J case from the 2015 edition onwards. The round bosses are mounting studs; the blocks along the lower edge are harness connectors.

Two ratings rise for 2016, 19 and 20 going from 5 to 7.5 A, and with them come the adaptive headlamps on 20, the battery electronic control module on 14, the vehicle tracking and blocking module on 17, a CD changer on 33 and the heated steering wheel sharing 37 with all-wheel drive; the spare returns to 31. Reach the panel from the driver's seat: it is under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column, behind the finish trim below the wheel. The diagram lays Ford's portrait plate E145984 on its side, so 38 heads the left end and the three rows run left to right. 1-5, 16 and 23-37 are single Micro 2 blades; 7 to 22 are eight dual Micro 3 bodies whose upper half takes the odd number and lower half the even one, with 16 on its own between 15 and 18. The 30 A position 38 carries no type marking in the manual.
