2009 Ford F-150 XII Fuse Box Diagram

Behind the kick-panel trim under the right-hand side of the instrument panel: pull the trim panel towards you, swing it out and lift it clear, then press the tabs on both sides of the fuse box cover to release it. The 2009 truck launches the P415 generation with a portrait panel that Ford printed on page 316 of the third-printing guide. Its column of 1-16 runs down the left; 17-19 and 29-31 sit in two short columns at the top with the delayed accessory relay 48 below them; 20-26 and 32-38 form the two columns beneath, with 27 and 28 standing on end at the foot of the middle one and 39-40 under 38; and up the right-hand side are the tall 30 A circuit breaker 47, then 41 and 42, with 43-46 standing on end down the edge. Every numbered position takes a MINI fuse. Relay 48 is the delayed accessory relay, which feeds fuse 41 and the breaker 47. Four positions are spares this year: 11, 14, 37 and 40.

Under a latched cover in the engine compartment; Ford's instruction is to disconnect the battery before servicing any high-current fuse here. Plate E166589 is a landscape housing notched in its lower left corner, and Ford uses the same drawing for every model year from 2009 to 2014, so only the assignment tells the years apart. Five rows, each numbered left to right: relays 1-9 across the top with the tall 10 and 40 at the right edge; cartridges 11-22 with relays 23, 24 and 25 beside them; MINI 26-31 starting to the right of the notch, cartridges 32-36 stacked under 18-22 and relays 37, 38, 39; MINI 41-46, cartridges 47-51, MINI 52-61 and relay 62; then cartridges 63-74 under 11-22, MINI 75-84 and relay 85 along the bottom. On the 2009 truck the cooling fan is still belt-driven, so half the relay sockets are empty: 1 is the PCM power relay, 2 the starter, 3 the blower motor, 4 the heated rear window, 6 the trailer tow park lamps, 8 the fuel pump, 9 the trailer tow battery charger, 23 the A/C clutch, 37 and 38 the trailer tow left and right stop/turn lamps, 39 the back-up lamps, and 5, 7, 10, 24, 25, 40, 62 and 85 hold nothing. Positions 60 and 61 take mini-format diodes rather than fuses.
