2004 Ford F-150 XI Fuse Box Diagram

Under the right-hand side of the instrument panel, in the passenger footwell: take the trim panel off, then pull the fuse box cover away by the tab marked PULL (to put it back, seat the top edge first and push the bottom until it clicks). This is the launch table of the new-body P221 truck, printed in the March 2004 owner's guide: 16 feeds the ABS module, 20 is PCM 4x4 power at 15 A, 34 carries the injectors at 20 A, and 9, 12 and 30 are numbered but empty. The guide draws the box landscape. Vertical mini fuses 22, then 23-28 and 29-31 run along the top with the cartridges 102, 110 and 118; 1-11 and the horizontal 41 run along the bottom; a column of horizontal minis falls from 21 to 12, with 37-40 and the tall breaker 401 beside it; the rest of the cartridge block fills the right-hand side. Positions 1-42 take mini blades and 101-118 JCase cartridges; 401 is a 30 A circuit breaker for the power windows, moonroof and power sliding backlite. Relays: R01 starter, R02 accessory delay, R03 high-beam headlamps, R04 heated backlite, R05 trailer tow battery charge, R06 blower motor (full ISO); R201 trailer tow park lamps, R202 fog lamps, R203 PCM (half ISO).

On the left-hand fender in the engine compartment. For 2004 one housing serves both build states, and this is the version fitted to trucks with daytime running lamps: the DRL relay R03 occupies the upper right-hand socket, which pushes the A/C clutch diode D01 out of the box to a mounting beside it. R01 at the top left and R02 at the bottom left are the counter-clockwise and clockwise 4x4 motor relays, both full ISO; R201 (DRL) sits over R202 (A/C clutch) in the bottom right corner. The single fuse, F01, stands on end at the left-hand edge and is a 5 A ATO blade feeding the illumination of the clockspring, the airbag sliding contact.

Trucks built for 2004 without the daytime running lamp option use the same fender-mounted housing as the DRL trucks, with one difference: the upper right-hand socket takes the A/C clutch diode D01 instead of a relay, so nothing is mounted outside the box. The rest is common to both builds. R01 sits at the top left and R02 at the bottom left, the full-ISO relays that turn the 4x4 motor counter-clockwise and clockwise; R201 (DRL) is stacked over R202 (A/C clutch) at the bottom right; and the box's single fuse, the 5 A ATO F01, stands on end along the left-hand edge feeding the clockspring illumination. Look for it on the left-hand fender in the engine compartment.
