Dashboard fuse box
Under the dashboard on the left, at the bottom of the panel next to the driver's door. Loosen the two fastening screws of the plastic cover (A in the manual's fig. 199) and remove the cover; the body computer with its 25 MINI fuses sits behind it, seen here as the manual's fig. 200 draws it, with its harness connectors along the bottom edge.

Engine compartment fuse box
In the engine compartment on the left-hand side, next to the battery positive terminal behind the headlight. Press the catch on top of the lid and slide the cover upwards to remove it (the manual's fig. 201). The eight bolt-down strip fuses along the left edge are the manual's MIDI-FUSE general-protection fuses: they are replaced by a workshop, with the key removed and every load switched off. Drawn as the manual's fig. 202 shows the open box.

Right-hand pillar fuse box (optional)
Fitted only on some versions and markets: on the right-hand centre pillar of the passenger compartment, behind a protective cover that pulls off (the manual's fig. 203). Eight relay sockets sit above the twelve MINI positions; the relay codes are the manual's (fig. 204). Positions 54, 60, 61, 62 and 64 are numbered but unpopulated.
