The dashboard box is reached from the driver's footwell. The panel below and to the left of the steering column, beside the pedals, carries a cover that is only pressed into place; pull it off and the fuse extractor is on its back.

Inside are fourteen MINI positions of the body computer, drawn landscape as plate F0S0172 prints them with the connector on the left. Ten are rated. The other four — 12 and 32 in the upper row, 31 and 50 in the lower — are on Fiat's plate but absent from the tables, which since the facelift list only what an owner may replace; the 03.2014 handbook still gave 12 to the right dipped beam and 32 to the interior lights at 7.5 A, and those older readings are noted in their descriptions. Door-mirror demisting has its own 5 A holder near the diagnostic socket.

Open the bonnet and look to the right-hand side of the engine compartment: the junction box stands next to the battery. Its cover is screwed rather than clipped — press the screw in, turn it slowly anticlockwise to its stop, release it, and lift the cover away upwards out of its side guides.

The box carries three groups of fuses on plate F0S0607: fourteen MINI blades in the left-hand column, ten MAXI blades in the column beside them, and a short MINI stack (F11, F17, F22) at the top right over the two MAXI positions F08 and F85. The relays T02 to T31, whose codes are printed on the plate, fill the middle. Eleven positions are rated, among them the 10 A horns, the 30 A headlight washers and the 20 A front power socket — all values the 2016 facelift set — and the rest are general-protection fuses that the handbook sends to a Fiat dealership.
