Lower dashboard fusebox
The lower of the two dashboard fuseboxes (the built-in systems interface, BSI): on left-hand-drive cars in the lower part of the dashboard below the steering wheel (unclip the cover by pulling at the top left, then the right), on right-hand-drive cars behind the protection cover in the glove box, seen as the owner's-manual plate draws it. MINI fuses throughout except F10 and F11 (standard blades). F1-F9 run up the right-hand column (F1 at the bottom), F12-F20 and F21-F29 up the two middle columns, F30A/F30B and F31-F36 sit on end in two rows at the left; F10 and F11 stand on end beside F1 and F2. The extraction tweezers are clipped to the back of the cover.

Upper dashboard fusebox
The upper of the two dashboard fuseboxes: on left-hand-drive cars in the lower part of the dashboard below the steering wheel (unclip the cover by pulling at the top left, then the right), on right-hand-drive cars behind the protection cover in the glove box. One row of twelve fuses on end, F40 at the left through F29 at the right; only F30, F31, F33, F34 and F35 are assigned.

Engine compartment fusebox
In the engine compartment next to the battery (the engine-compartment fuse and relay unit): unclip the cover, and close it carefully afterwards so the box stays sealed. Laid out as the owner's-manual plate draws it: the six MAXI fuses F2-F7 in a column left of centre, the standard blades F21-F27 in the next column, F8-F19 as MINI fuses around them (F16 on end at the bottom, F18-F19 at the top left), the cartridge F29 and the bolt-down fuses F30-F32 with the relay housings between. Position 15 (5 A) and position 22 (30 A) carry fuses but are not used on this model.
