Lower dashboard fusebox
Behind the dashboard cover, below the steering wheel on a left-hand-drive car or inside the glove box behind its protection cover on a right-hand-drive one, sit two fuseboxes stacked one above the other. This is the lower one, the built-in systems interface. Unclipping the dashboard cover means pulling at the top left first and then at the right; the tweezers for pulling fuses are clipped on the back of it.
Thirty-five numbered positions and two lettered sockets are laid out in four groups. Nine horizontal MINI fuses form a column at the right-hand edge, numbered upwards from F1 to F9. Nine more form the middle-right column, F12 up to F20; nine more the middle-left column, F21 up to F29. The remaining eight stand on end at the left in two rows of four, each row numbered right to left: F30A, F30B, F31, F32 below, F33, F34, F35, F36 above. Two standard blades, F10 and F11, stand on end alongside F1 and F2, F11 on the outside. Everything else in the box is MINI.

Upper dashboard fusebox
Twelve positions, five of them live. Reading the row from the right-hand end, F29 comes first and F40 last, so the numbers rise leftwards; F30, F31, F33, F34 and F35 are the assigned ones. Every fuse in the row is a standard blade standing on end, and a connector block fills the left end of the plate.
The box is reached through the same cover as the lower dashboard fusebox — in the lower dashboard beneath the steering wheel on left-hand-drive cars, pulled off at the top left and then the right, or behind the protection cover in the glove box on right-hand-drive ones — and it is the upper of the two.

Engine compartment fusebox
Thirty-two fuses in five families, plus eleven relay housings that the diagram leaves unlabelled because the only source for their codes is a workshop drawing that no other family confirms.
The unit is in the engine compartment next to the battery; its cover unclips and must be closed carefully to keep the box sealed. Left of centre, a column of MAXI blades runs F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7 downwards. Beside it, a column of standard blades runs F21 through F27 downwards. Underneath that column, F14 lies above F15, F11, F12 and F13 are stacked to their right, and F20 stands on end next to them. Top left of the plate: F19 above F18, the bolt-down F32 to their right with F28 on end below it, then F17 and, below it, the JCase cartridge F29 on end. Upper right: the MAXI F1 between two relay housings. Far right: F8 above F9, with F10 to the left of F9. Lower right: the bolt-down fuses F30 and F31 on end. Bottom: F16 on end. Two positions, 15 and 22, are fitted with fuses (5 A and 30 A) that this model does not use.
