Lower dashboard fusebox
Numbering is the thing to get right here: every column counts from the bottom upwards, and the two rows of fuses standing on end at the left count from the right.
So the right-hand column of nine horizontal MINI fuses starts at F1 at its foot and ends at F9 at its top. The middle-right column runs F12 at the bottom to F20 at the top; the middle-left column runs F21 to F29 the same way. The on-end rows at the left read F30A, F30B, F31, F32 along the bottom and F33, F34, F35, F36 along the top, in each case with the lowest number on the right. F10 and F11 are the only standard-size blades in the box; they stand on end next to F1 and F2, F11 further to the left. Reaching all of this depends on which side the steering wheel is: left-hand-drive cars have the box low in the dashboard below the wheel, behind a cover unclipped at the top left and then the right, while right-hand-drive cars have it behind the protection cover in the glove box. Tweezers are on the back of the cover.

Upper dashboard fusebox
Sitting above the built-in systems interface behind the same dashboard cover, this box is one row and nothing else: twelve standard blades standing on end, with a connector block closing the left-hand end of the row.
They are numbered right to left. F29 occupies the right-hand end of the row and the numbers climb leftwards to F40. Five positions carry a load — F30, F31, F33, F34 and F35 — and the remaining seven are unassigned. Access is shared with the lower box: on a left-hand-drive car, the cover in the lower dashboard below the steering wheel, unclipped at the top left and then at the right; on a right-hand-drive car, the protection cover in the glove box.

Engine compartment fusebox
Beside the battery in the engine compartment, under a clip-on cover that has to be pressed shut again to keep the unit sealed.
The plate mixes families. Six MAXI blades, F2 down to F7, form a column left of centre; seven standard blades, F21 down to F27, form the next column to its right. Below that column, F14 sits above F15, with F11, F12 and F13 stacked to their right and F20 on end beside them. At the top left, F19 sits above F18; the bolt-down F32 is to their right with F28 on end below it, and below F32 come F17 and then the JCase cartridge F29 on end. The remaining MAXI, F1, is at the upper right between two relay housings, and at the far right F8 sits above F9 with F10 to the left of F9. The bolt-down fuses F30 and F31 stand on end at the lower right and F16 on end at the bottom. Five small relay housings run down the middle and larger ones sit at the left and bottom; all are drawn blank. Positions 15 and 22 carry fuses (5 A and 30 A) that this model does not use. The 1.5 BlueHDi replaced the 1.6 from the middle of 2018 without changing the table.
