Lower dashboard fusebox
The lower of the two dashboard fuseboxes is the built-in systems interface. On left-hand-drive cars it is in the lower part of the dashboard under the steering wheel, behind a cover that unclips under a pull at its top left corner and then at the right; on right-hand-drive cars it is behind the protection cover inside the glove box. The extraction tweezers are clipped to the back of the cover.
Positions are MINI blades apart from F10 and F11, which are full-size standard blades. A column of nine lies along the right-hand side, F1 at the bottom counting up to F9 at the top. Two more columns of nine fill the middle, F12 at the foot of the right-hand one up to F20, and F21 at the foot of the left-hand one up to F29. At the left, eight fuses stand on end in two rows of four, numbered right to left: F30A, F30B, F31 and F32 in the lower row and F33, F34, F35 and F36 in the upper one. F10 and F11 also stand on end, beside F1 and F2, with F11 to the left of F10. The 2017 edition of the handbook prints the fullest table of the run, twenty-one rows for this box.

Upper dashboard fusebox
A single row of twelve fuses on end, all of them standard blades, with a connector block at the left-hand end. The row is numbered from the right: F29 is the rightmost fuse and F40 the leftmost. Only five of the twelve are assigned — F30, F31, F33, F34 and F35 — and the rest are spare positions.
This is the upper of the two boxes behind the dashboard cover. Left-hand-drive cars have it in the lower part of the dashboard below the steering wheel, behind a cover that unclips at the top left and then at the right; right-hand-drive cars have it behind the protection cover in the glove box. The 2017 handbook edition prints all twelve rows for this box, including F30, the 30 A heated rear window fuse that later editions leave out of the table.

Engine compartment fusebox
The engine-compartment fuse and relay unit stands next to the battery. Unclip its cover to open it, and close it carefully afterwards so the box stays sealed against water.
Its thirty-two positions use five different fuse types. F2 to F7 are MAXI blades in a column left of centre, running top to bottom. The next column to the right holds the standard blades F21 to F27, also top to bottom. F8 to F19 are MINI fuses scattered around them, F18 and F19 at the top left and F16 on end at the bottom. F29 is a JCase cartridge and F30, F31 and F32 are bolt-down fuses; F1, another MAXI, sits at the upper right between two relay housings. A column of five small relay housings runs down the middle, with larger housings at the left and along the bottom, and none of them is labelled, because no source agrees on their codes. Two positions carry a fuse that the handbook says the model does not use: position 15 at 5 A and position 22 at 30 A. This year's handbook edition prints the full thirty-two-row table.
