Dashboard fuse box
In the lower part of the dashboard on the left-hand side (behind the glove box lid on right-hand-drive cars): unclip the cover by pulling on its side and remove it; the fuse tweezer and the spare fuses sit on the back of the cover. The fuses are on the lower edge of the built-in systems interface (BSI): one row of 14 MINI fuses in the handbook's order F1 F13 F12 F6 F5 F9 F3 F4 F11 F8 F10 F7 F14 F15 read from the left, with the PARC shunt (SH) and the 40 A MAXI fuse F17 below the row. Positions F1 (2013 on), F2 and F16 are listed as not used in the handbook; F2 and F16 have no socket on the plate.

Engine compartment fuse box
In the engine compartment next to the battery, on the left-hand side: unclip the cover, and clip it back carefully afterwards so the box stays sealed. Seen from above with the connectors at the top, as the handbook plate draws it: seven MINI fuses in a row at the top left (F20 F19 F21 F15 F16 F18 F17 from the left), the 30 A MAXI fuse F10 standing below F20 and the 40 A MAXI F11 lying at the bottom left, five MINI fuses along the bottom (F1 F3 F2 F4 F8 from the left), the 40 A MAXI F13 in the middle right, a two-by-two block (F9 and F5 over F7 and F6) and the two 30 A MAXI fuses F14 over F12 at the right-hand edge. The eight maxi-fuses MF1-MF8 are on a separate holder that the handbook reserves for the dealer.
