Model year 2012 keeps the launch cavity list unchanged. Both 2012 owner's manuals, sedan and convertible, and both quick-reference guides print the 2011 table, so 2 is still the all-wheel-drive module, 13 is ignition alone, 16 the cigar lighter with the sunroof and 31 a 10 A headlamp-washer fuse. Several fuse databases move the later assignment forward to this year; the manuals do not.

The holder is the Totally Integrated Power Module in the left-hand corner of the engine bay, beside the air-filter housing, under a latched lid whose underside carries the cavity label — press the lid back down until both latches engage, since the manual's caution is about water reaching the module. Its thirty-seven cavities mix JCase cartridges (1, 9, 15 and 18 at 40 A, 32, 34 and 36 at 30 A, 35 at 40 A) with MINI blades in one run of numbers. With the moulded notch at the bottom right, the cartridge quartet occupies the top left, the column 2 to 8 the left edge, the on-end blades 19 to 26 the centre, and 29 to 37 the right-hand end, 29 being a live socket left empty by design.
